Well, I never thought this would happen. The blogging I mean. I've always been an old-fashioned type of girl when it comes to media - I always preferred newspapers as opposed to reading news on internet sites, books to e-books, journals to blogs but things have changed and so did I. So did we. And since I'm open to trying new things I thought I would give this a go and see where it takes me.
Since it's my first post in the big new world that we call the internet I should probably tell you what you can expect from reading my ramblings. You have to bare with me now, lets just take this road together and hopefully we will even learn something on the way. First thing's first. Why on earth did I choose the title "The Truth and Secrets about Life"? Well, I believe there is more to life than just getting through another day. I want to make people THINK about things that they never thought about or give them a new perspective to certain problems. I want people to have their own opinions, I want them to want to study and learn about things they are interested in. If you are that kind of person I believe this is a perfect place for you. I will probably be writing about stuff that I like and love and know. And given that I like books, music, movies, art, psychology, history, traveling and a bunch of other things that may seem waaaay boring to a lot of you, that is what you can expect from this site. But DON'T worry, it's not that bad, I promise. You see, I'm pretty sure I can mix and find the right balance between the popular culture, like celebrities, musicians, movie stars, and the "art" of our age with the classics or what some may consider simply "old". I will do my best to try to incorporate my points of interest into things that I stumble upon in every day life and if it all goes well it will be an interesting read for someone.
Aaand now to the not so boring part. The direct reason behind this first publication is something many of you who know the student life are familiar with - what can I do to DELAY my studies?? Anything. Something. And fast. Usually this is the part where we all ask our moms if we can please help clean something or just randomly clean our rooms or closets. Maybe do the dishes. Basically things we HATE doing when we have spare time and things we LOVE to do when we have to study. So while I sit here looking at my 1300 page book about Corporate Law I want to jump of a bridge. So instead of killing myself I decided I would do something productive so I won't feel so bad about not studying. Insert writing. I've always wanted to write stories either fictional or real but my road kind of went in a totally different direction and here I am studying law. It reads like a bad joke :) But it's not as bad as you may think. Even in law you can find stories of people that you can learn from and be inspired. And then write about it. If you want to.
Right about now I'm thinking to myself to wrap this sh*t up because its getting too long. Before I really start studying though I just wanted to say that I'm going to read a couple of pages of Romeo and Juliet. See, last night I saw Shakespeare in Love (probably for the tenth time already, sorry I just love Joseph Fiennes) and it really inspired me to re-read the book.(http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0138097/) Its simply one of those stories that will live forever, you know? Plus, all the drama going on is so magnificent. Just between the two of them they die 4 times. It's hard to keep track. I do want to talk about the story but I'll leave that for another time. Besides, I love the way how fiction can transform into real life. Or is it the other way around?I'm sure we have all heard about a "real" Romeo and Juliet, just maybe not as dramatic. Think Sid Vicious and Nancy.
Goodbye world. Talk to you soon.
